Castleroe Primary School

In response to our last survey we addressed issues rasied throughout our three year School Development Plan as follows:

1. All key polices are shared online via the school webiste for ease of access and transparency.
2. We have two formal parent interview opportunities annually in October and February, and a written report published for each child  in June.
3. As well as our app, website and Facebook page we also communicate with parents of pupils in P1 - P4 via Dojo, an online platform.
4. We teach in an active and multipsensory manner, promoting outdoor learning, which has had positive impacts on attainment and attendance throughout the school.
5. We have developed the range of extra-curricular clubs we offer after school, at an afforable rate.
6. We offer wraparound care to 5.30pm daily.
7. We have purchased twelve ipads and three new interactive panels to develop ICT throughout the school.
8. We have introduced a staggered pick up time to ease congestion and safeguard our community at home time.
9. We have opened The Olive Room to offer specialist teaching alongside our high quality mainstream provision.
10. We ensure that all pupils have at least two PE sessions per week, following the newly adopted CORE NI PE scheme.  
11. We have updated our ICT and Literacy and Communcation Policies and Schemes.
12. We have introduced the Hullabaloo Music Scheme from P1 - P7.
13. We have become a Paths accredited school.
14. We have developed the pupil voice within our school community.

We look forward to hearing and responding to the voice of the community again this year as we plan for the next three years of life and learning at Castleroe PS.
