Key Stage One classes are taught by Mrs McFaul four days a week, asissted by Miss Rae, and Mrs Williams teaches the class each Wednesday.
Topics are inspired through fictional stories and the pupils engage in lessons based on Science, History and Geography.
Term 1- If you go down to the woods today (Percy the Park-Keeper stories by Nick Butterworth)
Term 2 – Colour Chaos (The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt)
Term 3 – Where the Wild Things Are (Maurice Sendak)
Learning takes place in many different forms including outdoors in the forest, through art lessons, classroom games, ICT and interactive whiteboard activities. These sessions suit all learners (auditory, visual and kinaesthetic). Our aim is to make lessons fun so that all children will enjoy and meet their potential in school.
